MiseSnag ("we", "us") operates the MiseSnag mobile app and website at misesnag.iagocavalcante.com. This policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Contact: misesnag@iagocavalcante.com.
Information we collect
Account information: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email and display name from those providers. Subscription state: we receive your subscription status and product identifier from RevenueCat when you purchase or renew. Recipe data: we store the video URLs you submit, the AI-extracted recipes, and any edits you make. Usage analytics: we collect pseudonymous app analytics (screen views, feature usage) via Google Analytics on the website. Diagnostic data: we send error reports to Sentry that may include device model, OS version, and a stack trace; we do not include your name or video URLs in error reports.
How we use your information
To operate the service: extracting recipes from videos you submit, syncing your library across devices, enforcing free-tier limits. To process payments: RevenueCat handles subscription billing; we receive only the entitlement state and product identifier. To improve the product: we review aggregate usage to prioritize features. To communicate with you: we may send transactional emails about your account or subscription via Resend. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party processors
Firebase Authentication (Google) — sign-in. RevenueCat — subscription billing and entitlements. OpenAI — recipe extraction (we send the video URL or transcribed audio; OpenAI's API does not train on this data per their enterprise terms). Sentry — crash and error reporting. Resend — transactional email. Google Analytics — website analytics. Each processor has its own privacy policy; we choose providers that contractually commit to GDPR-grade protections.
Video URLs and content
We process the public video URL you paste. For free-tier accounts we extract the recipe from the video's description text. For Pro accounts we may download the video and transcribe it via OpenAI Whisper to extract the recipe; we discard the audio after extraction. We do not republish or distribute the original creator's video.
Data retention
Your account, recipes, and subscription history are retained while your account is active. Job records and intermediate audio are deleted within 7 days of processing. You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data by emailing misesnag@iagocavalcante.com; we will complete deletion within 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. EU/UK residents: you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email misesnag@iagocavalcante.com.
Children
MiseSnag is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our processors operate in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable for transfers from the EU/UK.
Changes to this policy
We will post material changes in the app and on this page. Continued use of MiseSnag after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
